Beginning with select model year 2027 vehicles, Volkswagen becomes the first volume automotive brand in the United States to integrate N-Dream’s AirConsole in-car gaming platform. How AirConsole Works on the VW Infotainment System
The beauty of the AirConsole platform lies in its simplicity—there is no need for bulky hardware, messy extra cables, or dedicated gaming controllers. Everything runs directly through the primary Volkswagen infotainment system, providing a clean, seamless experience whenever the vehicle is safely parked.
Getting started takes just seconds:
- Launch the AirConsole app on the Volkswagen infotainment screen while the vehicle is parked.
- Scan the on-screen QR code using any compatible smartphone or smart device.
- The phone instantly pairs as a touchscreen controller, allowing multiple passengers to jump into the action together.
By using personal smartphones as wireless pads, everyone in the cabin can easily participate without requiring specialized accessories or complicated setup routines.
A Launch Catalog with Classics and Custom VW Content
At launch, AirConsole delivers a library of 20 multiplayer and casual gaming titles curated specifically for quick sessions, family fun, and casual group competition. The initial lineup includes globally recognized titles like Tetris®, UNO® Car Party!, and PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition.
To make the experience even more special for Volkswagen owners, Volkswagen and developer N-Dream AG partnered to deliver exclusive branded gameplay features:
- Custom PAC-MAN™: Experience a custom version of the arcade classic where power pellets are replaced with Volkswagen logos, and collectible bonus items are swapped for iconic VW vehicles.
- Volkswagen Exclusives: Enjoy custom-branded editions of popular casual titles, including soccer favorite Golazo! and memory tests in Memory Match.
- Dynamic Ambient Lighting: On select trims and compatible models, interior cabin lighting syncs directly with in-game actions. The ambient lighting reacts in real time to what happens on screen, surrounding players in an immersive, multi-sensory environment.

AirConsole will be available across a broad selection of model year 2027 Volkswagen vehicles, spanning versatile midsize SUVs, iconic hot hatches, and electric vehicles:

In-Vehicle Premium Subscription and myVW App Setup
AirConsole is offered as part of Volkswagen’s In-Vehicle Premium connected services package, which is enabled and managed through the myVW app. Beyond gaming, this connected package includes features like an active Wi-Fi hotspot, Premium Navigation, and Premium Speech capabilities.
To access AirConsole, owners simply need to enroll an eligible MY27 vehicle in the myVW app and accept the applicable terms and conditions. Volkswagen is making it easy to test out the feature with generous complimentary access periods:

Following the initial trial period, access to AirConsole and the full suite of connected features can be maintained with an active In-Vehicle Premium subscription, available on MY27 models for $149 per year.
