Toyota GR Supra to Pace the Field at the 2025 NASA Championships
This year’s National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Championships are getting a serious dose of adrenaline—with Toyota’s iconic GR Supra taking the spotlight as the official pace car. For the first time in the event’s history, the GR Supra will lead the field at NASA’s most prestigious weekend, held this year from September 4–7 at Ozarks International Raceway in Gravois Mills, Missouri.
Finished in a bold Toyota GAZOO Racing livery of red, white, and black, the GR Supra isn’t just a showpiece—it’s a symbol of Toyota’s deep commitment to motorsports and grassroots racing. As the third GR sports car to serve pace car duties at the NASA Championships, the Supra follows in the tire tracks of its siblings, the GR86 and GR Corolla, completing the trio of GR-branded pace cars.
A Perfect Match: Supra Meets the Ozarks
The 3.97-mile circuit at Ozarks International Raceway is one of the most technical and visually stunning tracks in the country. With 19 turns, dramatic elevation changes, and a layout that challenges both machines and drivers, the Ozarks is a fitting stage for the GR Supra’s pace car debut.
The Championships will bring together hundreds of top amateur drivers from 14 NASA regions, all vying for victory across 25 racing classes. And when it’s time to grid up and go green, they’ll be following the GR Supra’s turbocharged lead.
Performance Meets Passion
“As Toyota, our passion for performance and motorsports runs deep, and we’re honored to support grassroots racing through our relationship with NASA,” said Mike Tripp, group vice president of Toyota Marketing. “We’re especially proud to have the GR Supra pacing the 2025 Championships at Ozarks International Raceway—marking its debut as the official NASA Champs pace car.”
This isn’t just a marketing move—Toyota’s partnership with NASA runs much deeper. Since 2019, every buyer of a GR sports car—including the GR Supra—receives a free NASA membership and a complimentary High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) track day. It’s a unique program designed to help owners safely explore their car’s full potential on a closed course, all while building skills and confidence behind the wheel.
“The relationship between Toyota and NASA has been an incredible way to introduce sports car owners to the world of performance driving in a safe and responsible manner,” said Jeremy Croiset, CEO of NASA. “We’re especially excited to welcome the GR Supra for the first time as the official pace car for the 2025 NASA Championships at Ozarks International Raceway.”
The GR Supra: Leading the Charge Into Its Final Lap
As the GR Supra takes on pace car duties, it’s also entering a new chapter. The 2026 model year will be the final production run for the fifth-generation Supra. Toyota is sending it off in style with the limited-run GR Supra MkV Final Edition—only 1,300 units will be available in North America.
Available in red, white, or black, the Final Edition includes a GT4-style package, carbon-fiber ducktail spoiler, dual stainless exhaust tips, and race-inspired graphics. Under the hood, the Supra retains its signature power: a 382-horsepower, 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.

Whether you’re a seasoned track rat or just a Supra fan, it’s an event worth watching.
As the GR Supra takes its place at the front of the grid this September, it’s more than just a pace car—it’s a celebration of performance, heritage, and Toyota’s unwavering support for motorsports at every level.
