Toyota Announces Winter Arrival for the 2026 RAV4

Starting in 2026, every RAV4 will be electrified, with buyers choosing between a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). 

• RAV4 Hybrid: Up to an estimated 44 MPG combined (FWD) with a powerful 236 net combined horsepower (AWD). 
• RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid: An estimated 52 miles of all-electric driving range and 324 net combined system horsepower, along with up to 41 MPG combined. 

That means whether you’re commuting, exploring, or road-tripping, the new RAV4 delivers both performance and efficiency that few SUVs can match. 

Introducing the First-Ever RAV4 GR SPORT 

The 2026 RAV4 lineup introduces the first-ever RAV4 GR SPORT, developed with Toyota GAZOO Racing. This motorsport-inspired model is all about performance and precision. 

The RAV4 GR SPORT features: 

• Exclusive GR-tuned suspension and steering 
• AWD standard Plug-in Hybrid powertrai
• Aggressive aerodynamic styling and 20-inch alloy wheels 
• Sport-focused interior with Brin Naub® suede and SofTex® seating, GR logos, and red stitching

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid will begin arriving at U.S. dealerships in December 2025, starting in the low $30,000s (FWD Hybrid). The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid will follow in spring 2026.
