Subaru Unleashes Limited-Edition 2026 WRX and BRZ Sports Cars at Boxerfest 2025

Subaru Unleashes Limited-Edition 2026 WRX and BRZ Sports Cars at Boxerfest 2025

Subaru fans, start your engines — and make it manual. Subaru has just taken the wraps off two eye-catching, enthusiast-focused performance machines at Boxerfest 2025 in York, Pennsylvania: the 2026 Subaru WRX Series.Yellow and 2026 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow. Both models are limited to just 350 units each and come with bold looks, exclusive upgrades, and, yes — a 6-speed manual transmission only.

Sunrise Yellow: A Subaru Signature

What sets these two apart at first glance? That unmistakable Sunrise Yellow paint. It’s a rare shade from Subaru’s color archive, previously seen on models like the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition and Japan-only WRX STI S207. On the new Series.Yellow WRX and BRZ, it’s paired with matte black alloy wheels and yellow contrast stitching throughout the interior, giving these cars a head-turning presence both inside and out.

WRX Series.Yellow: AWD Grip with STI-Tuned Precision

The 2026 WRX Series.Yellow builds on the already capable tS trim, adding exclusive hardware and visual flair. Under the hood is a 271-hp 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine mated to Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. Drivers will benefit from electronically controlled STI-tuned dampers, Brembo® brakes, and aggressive 19-inch matte black alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.

Inside, it’s all about control and contrast. Yellow stitching and Recaro® Performance front seats create a sporty environment, while a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 11.6-inch multimedia touchscreen provide modern digital flair.

BRZ Series.Yellow: Lightweight RWD Purity

For those who prefer their performance raw and rear-driven, the 2026 BRZ Series.Yellow delivers a more analog experience. Powered by a 228-hp naturally aspirated 2.4-liter BOXER engine, this BRZ uses a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission to power the rear wheels, staying true to its lightweight sports coupe roots.

STI-tuned Hitachi® dampers enhance responsiveness, while Brembo® brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires on 18-inch matte black wheels give the car sharper handling and grip. Inside, the yellow stitching continues on the seats, steering wheel, shifter boot, and parking brake, complementing the all-black interior.

Collectibility and Exclusivity

With only 350 units each of the WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow being produced, these special editions are destined to become collector’s items. They represent the best of what Subaru’s performance division can do — and they double down on driver involvement by offering only manual gearboxes.

Pricing details haven’t been announced yet, but both models are expected to hit dealerships in 2026. If you want one, act fast — they won’t stay on lots for long.
