The 2021 Corvette is offered in three trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. The sole powerplant for the Vette is a direct-injected 6.2L V8 making a healthy 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque which propels the Corvette to 60 mph in an Earth-shattering 2.8 seconds. On a downbeat there is only one transmission choice available while the good news is it's a lightning quick 8-speed dual clutch transmission from Tremec. Suspension is handled thanks to a fully independent SLA double wishbone system with forged upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms dampened with 46mm monotube shocks.

The Corvette is available in either coupe or convertible form with a folding hard top. The chief difference, of course, is the automatic drop top, which can be controlled by either the key fob or a button on the dash. It can be lowered at speeds up to 30 mph.

The Z51 performance package is also a must-have as it brings all of the Corvette's best performance-oriented gear. Inclusive is a performance-tuned suspension with threaded spring seats to adjust dampers, bigger brakes, additional cooling, a unique axle ratio, and a performance exhaust. With the dual-mode performance exhaust that is part of the Z51 package, it makes 495 horsepower. The Z51 option also adds an electronic limited-slip rear differential, more aggressive brakes, and summer tires.
