Amazon continues to set the standard for delivery services. With Key by Amazon, shoppers now have the opportunity to access keyless smart access. This means that their Amazon packages can be delivered inside their garage, home, and car. 

We've all seen the stories on the news about thieves taking packages right off the front porch of unsuspecting homeowners. Key by Amazon offers shoppers a smart system for their life. 

Garage Delivery

Keep away those pesky thieves, whether they be the human or wild animal kind, with Key delivery to the inside of your garage. Garage delivery turns your garage into a personal locker, bringing you piece of mind when ordering online. You receive updates to your phone up to an expected delivery window. Amazon then confirms that the driver is at your address with the correct package before they are permitted access to your garage. For additional security, Amazon suggests installing an Amazon Cloud Cam to watch the delivery in real-time or to have a video receipt that can be viewed later. You have complete control over your garage door through the app. You'll receive a notification before the driver opens your garage and another after it is securely closed. At any time, you can take control over your garage door. Garage delivery requires a Key by Amazon Smart Garage Kit. 

Home Delivery

Just like your garage door, you can use the Key delivery to control your front door. Unlock the door for guests or use the app to receive Amazon packages inside your doorstep. You can link your Ring Video Doorbell or Camera to the Key-compatible smart lock to conveniently monitor your home. Know who is going in and out of your house at all times or grant access to guests even while you're away. You can also check in at any time using the live view and two-way audio. Just like the garage delivery option, you'll receive notifications throughout each step of the delivery process. Key by Amazon also works great with Alexa. Enable the Key by Amazon Alexa skill and Alexa can lock your door, check the status of your door, and more. Home delivery requires a Key Smart Lock Kit. 

Car Delivery

This one is our personal favorite (obviously). With Key delivery, you can have Amazon deliver your packages directly to your vehicle. Place your order, park your car, and receive the package to your truck within hours. This is perfect for shopaholics on the go. Get your package delivered directly to your vehicle and have peace of mind knowing it's safe and sound instead of leaving it on your porch or front steps for hours. Your car must be parked in a publicly accessible area so that the Amazon delivery driver can make it to your vehicle. You'll receive a notification in the morning with a 4-hour delivery window and another when the driver is heading to your vehicle. Amazon will confirm that the delivery driver has the correct package before unlocking your vehicle. You'll receive a notification that your vehicle has been unlocked and another once it has been relocked. 

At Diehl Automotive, we offer customers the latest Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac models, which are compatible with Key by Amazon. Key by Amazon links your Amazon Prime account with your Owner Center account and active connected car service plan. Only a standard connectivity plan is required. This comes free of charge on most vehicles 2015 or newer.
